We are committed to the operation of our processes and facilities, from the receipt of raw materials through the manufacture of our products, and final distribution to our customers, in a manner which considers the product life cycle, protects our employees, the environment, and the community.
MALLAK is committed to environmental compliance and to continual improvement of our environmental performance. To help meet this commitment, MALLAK maintains an Environmental Management System (EMS) which is described in the ISO 14001 EMS Manual.
MALLAK’s EMS incorporates programs to effectively mitigate our significant environmental impacts. Our Emergency Response procedures define actions for handling environmental incidents and emergency situations. Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee meetings, made up of Senior Management representatives, are held regularly to monitor overall environmental performance.
Environmental Plans are developed and implemented for each of its MALLAK sites. A Management Review is conducted annually to ensure the continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the EMS. This includes a review of the progress in meeting objectives and targets set out in the Environmental Plans and ISO scorecards.
The ultimate responsibility for implementing this policy rests with Senior Management; however, all employees have specific responsibilities within their own areas for which they are accountable.

MALLAK incorporates programs to effectively manage occupational health and safety risks. Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee meetings, made up of Senior Management representatives, are held regularly to review health and safety performance, incident reports, audits to monitor overall health and safety performance.
Employees resolve health and safety concerns through the line management communications, joint health and safety committees, safety audits, and accident or incident investigations. Senior management is responsible for ensuring that accident and incident cause is defined, corrective actions are effectively implemented and verified.
Each MALLAK employee has the responsibility to take appropriate measures to prevent work related accidents and injury. We encourage all employees to take a personal and collective commitment to safety, accident and loss prevention and good housekeeping as a way of life at MALLAK.
